This is a page dedicated to fun, inexpensive family activities that will bring you closer together while having a great time!

  1. FAMILY HIKE (who wouldn’t want to enjoy the beauty of nature together as a family? this is a great opportunity to step away from the daily stresses and partake of the beauties of nature. this is also a great way to teach your children about botany, geology, and more)
  2. TEDDY BEAR PICNIC IN THE PARK (parks are a great way to make everyone happy- there are fields to play softball and frisbee, playground equipment for the kids….. pack a blanket, teddy bears, and a healthy lunch and you are on your way to having a wonderful time!)
  3. COMMUNITY FIELD TRIPS (meet the fire and police departments while teaching your kids about safety and getting out of the house!)
  4. GROW A GARDEN
  5. SERVICE PROJECTS (one of my favorite movie quotes is a line from the computer animated film robots: see a need, fill a need. don’t wait for a set time to do service- if you see a chance to teach your children the value of service, then do it!)
  6. CREATE A MEAL TOGETHER (as a family, decide on a menu and divide the responsibilities. Go to the grocery store together, and enjoy each other’s company while preparing the meal as well! This will be a feast fit for your family!)
  7. A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM (there are outstanding museums in every community- some have great hands on activities for the little ones. you can learn a lot together as a family while having fun!)
